THE PARIDON HERALD
~ Sunday Edition ~

Terror Grips the Heart of Our Fair Metropolis!
Beware good citizens of Paridon, the Gargoyle of Paridon has struck again! Several witnesses have reported to the Paridon Herald the ghastly attack that claimed the life of prospector Eugene Hickenbottom in the dead hours. Hickenbottom had been closing up his offices for the night, and had decided to take his turn at Eglington House when the heinous action occurred.

The monster that has been terrorizing our streets for the past year was identified by one man, Miles Faucet, director of the city’s custodial services at the Whinshire Hotel. He claims to have seen the Beast descend upon the unsuspecting Hickenbottom as he was about to enter the hotel. Faucet described the chilling scene as Hickenbottom called out for help and attempted to chastise the Beast with shots from his cane; but to no avail, as his body was lifted in the air like a wooden puppet, and drawn into the darkened reaches of Ludlum Alley!

The Beast made the best of his time there to commit murder most foul on his aforementioned victim, but not before Miles Faucet was able to overhear the Thing speak! Here is an accurate account of his words.

“I have come to take your soul to hell Hickenbottom! But before I will feast on you flesh and revel in your screams!”

You heard it here first ladies and gentleman! The Paridon Herald has been on the trail of this fiend since the very start, and we will continue to pledge our manpower and best efforts to help bring the Gargoyle to justice! But will our determination be sufficient? Will our courage hold? Will the Gragoyle turn his wrath on our editors for daring to shine the light of Truth into his lair of Darkness?

Keep with us faithful readers…
