Tonight I arrived in a strange land. This is my first page written in this book. It is important that I keep track of everything that I learn here. I am a stranger in a strange land. This land may be as wicked as the one I have just left. I must admit to myself that I am afraid of what my travels may bring me to, but i will use the memory of my love of Mariana and my darling Adelina, to bolster my courage. To help me not only help me carry on, but to succeed. So that no other husband and father will have to feel my pain. The moment that I stepped out into the clear again I knew at once that I had reached somewhere new… A place I had only heard about from the elders and from strangers that made their way through our lands. Now I am here, and I have a goal, the freedom of my people. I am at a loss for what needs to be done. I have so many questions and I don’t even know where to start. How does one overthrow powerful men with such wicked powers at their command? The war is coming to them. They know it. I will be the one to bring it to them. The streets will run red with the blood of the clergy during the revolution… When is all said and done, I will build for the republic. A building in the shape of Zakata’s head and from his skull we will found a government for the people. No one will go hungry, no one will die. Peace will reign. I must find some shelter for the night, and perhaps some food.
